Short-term loan
R500 to R3 000. One repayment, about a month after payout.
RandLeaf is a South African credit provider brand. This site describes our three loans in rand, and we publish every rate, fee and rounding rule so you can check a price before you share any personal details.
A short-term loan repaid once, an instalment loan over two to six months, and a personal loan over seven to twelve months. All three use the same 2% monthly interest rate, the same initiation fee formula and the same R40 monthly service fee.
R500 to R3 000. One repayment, about a month after payout.
R1 000 to R8 000. Two to six equal monthly instalments.
R5 000 to R20 000. Seven to twelve equal monthly instalments.
You should know what a loan costs before you apply. Our calculator uses the same public pricing file as every example on this site, so the numbers always agree.
We only lend if the repayment fits your budget after your other expenses. A loan that causes a second problem is not a good loan for anyone.
If you are struggling with repayments, our first job is to talk through your options. We won’t offer a new loan as a way out of an old one.
We set our own limits on top of the law. Each customer can have one active RandLeaf loan at a time, and a first loan is capped lower than a returning customer’s: short-term loan up to R2 000, instalment loan up to R5 000, personal loan up to R10 000.
RandLeaf’s own application service isn’t open yet. Until it is, the Apply online buttons on this site are paid partner links: they take you to a partner’s application through the LeadGid affiliate network, and RandLeaf may be paid if you apply. The partner’s credit provider sets its own amounts, rates, fees and checks, which can differ from the RandLeaf prices on this site. How the partner route works.
Check who you are dealing with
Before you share anything on a partner’s site, check the name of the credit provider and look up its NCRCP number on the National Credit Regulator register, the same way you would check us. Never pay a fee upfront to “release” a loan. Landing on a partner page.
These details appear in the footer of every page. Anything not yet confirmed is marked clearly rather than filled in with a guess.
Check us on the official register
The National Credit Regulator publishes a register of credit providers. Search for our NCRCP number and compare the company name and status with the details here. Step-by-step guide.
