Privacy notice

This notice covers this website only. Any site you go on to, including a partner’s application, is a separate service with its own privacy notice.

Your information

Who is responsible

The responsible party for this website is legal entity not yet published, trading as RandLeaf. Our information officer is not yet published, and you can reach them at privacy contact not yet published.

What this website collects

This is a static website. It has no forms, no accounts and no login. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which delivers every page and protects the site from abuse. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request:

  • your IP address and the time of your visit
  • the page or file you asked for and whether it loaded
  • basic details your browser sends, such as its type and the page that linked to us

Cloudflare handles this under its own privacy policy, which also sets how long it keeps such data. We have not switched on request logging or Cloudflare Web Analytics for this site. Cloudflare’s dashboard shows us aggregated traffic figures, such as the number of requests and visitors by country, which don’t identify you.

What it doesn’t collect

  • Your name, ID number, contact details or bank details
  • Amounts or terms you try in the calculator
  • What you type into the help search
  • Documents of any kind

The calculator and help search run entirely in your browser. What you enter is kept in memory while the page is open and is not stored, put in the web address or sent anywhere.

Partner links and how clicks are counted

RandLeaf’s own online application service isn’t open yet. Until it is, every Apply online button on this site is a paid partner link. It points to /go/oferta on our own domain, and our server then sends your browser to the current FINANCE SA partner offer, an affiliate link run through the LeadGid network. The only thing we add to that address identifies this website (randleaf.co.za). No amount, income, ID number, contact detail or anything you typed is added to it.

RandLeaf may be paid when someone applies through that link. The partner sets its own amounts, interest, fees and checks, which can differ from the RandLeaf pricing examples on this site, and its own terms and privacy notice apply on its pages.

When you use one of those buttons, our server counts the click after it has sent you on. It sends three values to the dashboard our team uses to run its websites: the website (randleaf.co.za), the offer key and which button you used, for example the one in the calculator. It doesn’t send your IP address, cookies, browser details, calculator amounts or anything else about you. The count tells us how many times a button was used, not who used it.

A click is not counted when:

  • your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control
  • the request comes from a bot, a link preview or a page prefetch
  • it comes from our own testing or from our technical address
  • you have switched counting off below

Without JavaScript the switch isn’t shown. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings in your browser are respected either way.

After the redirect you are on the partner’s website. The partner and LeadGid see your visit, including the fact that it came from randleaf.co.za, and handle it under their own privacy notices.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own unless you switch partner click counting off, and it uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The site includes a small analytics adapter that sends nothing unless we add an approved provider; if we ever do, we will update this notice and the cookies page first. Our fonts and images are hosted on our own domain, so no other company sees your visit through them.

Contact links open your own phone, email or WhatsApp app. Whatever you then send reaches us through that service and is handled under our customer privacy notice. WhatsApp and your email provider also process it under their own terms.

When you apply

RandLeaf’s own application service isn’t open yet. Applications currently go through the partner link described above. The information you give in any application, including your ID, income and bank details, is processed under that service’s own privacy notice, which explains who processes it, why, and for how long. Nothing you enter there comes back to this website.

Under POPIA you can:

  • ask us to delete information where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it
  • object to processing, including direct marketing
  • complain to the Information Regulator
