Repayments are collected by DebiCheck debit order

Before your loan is paid out, your bank sends you a DebiCheck request for the repayments. It shows our name, the amount, the date and how often the debit runs. You approve it in your banking app, by USSD or at an ATM, depending on your bank.

On each repayment date the agreed amount is collected from your account. You don’t need to remember to pay, but you do need the money in the account on that day.

How DebiCheck works

Short-term loan
One repayment, about a month after payout.
Instalment loan
Two to six equal monthly instalments.
Personal loan
Seven to twelve equal monthly instalments.
Last instalment
Can differ by a few cents because of rounding. Your schedule shows the exact amount.

Choosing your repayment date

Matched to your payday

During the application you choose a date that suits the day your income arrives, usually on or just after payday. It is written into your agreement and the DebiCheck mandate.

Weekends and public holidays

If a repayment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, your agreement and DebiCheck mandate set out whether the debit runs on the day before or the next business day. Check that section of your agreement, or ask us.

Paying extra or settling early

You can settle your loan in full at any time, with no penalty. Ask us for a settlement figure: it covers the principal you still owe plus interest and fees up to that day. You don’t pay interest or service fees for the months you no longer need.

How early settlement works

If you want to make an extra payment without settling, contact us first so it is allocated to your loan correctly and you know how it changes the rest of your schedule.

Payments by EFT are only accepted into the account named in your agreement. Our bank details are shared only through official channels.

If a debit order fails or you can’t pay

A debit didn’t go through

Contact us as soon as you can. Your agreement and DebiCheck mandate explain whether and when a debit can be presented again. Your agreement also sets out what happens if a repayment is missed, including any default interest or collection costs the law allows.

Missed repayments can be reported to credit bureaus, so it is better to talk to us before the date than after it.

Changing your bank account or details

If you move to a new bank account, tell us well before your next repayment date. A new DebiCheck mandate is needed for the new account, and you approve it with your new bank. The old mandate keeps running until it is replaced or the loan is settled.

Changed your cellphone number or email? Let us know too, so your statements and settlement letters reach you.

Never pay into a different account

We will never ask you to pay into a personal account or change our bank details by SMS, WhatsApp or social media. If anyone does, don’t pay, and check with us through the contacts on this website. Report a suspicious message.

About repayments

Can I see my balance on this website?

No. This website has no login and no personal information. Your agreement and statements show your balance, and our support team can give you an up-to-date figure.

Can I move my repayment date?

Ask us before the next date. A change may need a new DebiCheck mandate and an updated schedule, and it can change the interest you pay.

I was paid late this month. What should I do?

Contact us before the repayment date. Payment difficulties explains what we will ask and the options we look at.

Is there a fee for settling early?

No. You pay what you owe up to the settlement day and nothing for the months that are cancelled.
