Accessibility statement

Checking the cost of a loan or finding help should work for everyone, on any phone and connection. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

For everyone

What we have built in

  • Every page works with a keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link and a clearly visible focus outline
  • All content, prices, contacts and rules are readable without JavaScript
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers
  • Form fields in the calculator have labels, and errors explain how to fix them
  • Text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout adapts without sideways scrolling
  • Animations are reduced if your device asks for reduced motion
  • There are no time limits and nothing moves or plays automatically
  • Pages are light, so they load on slower mobile connections

Known limitations

We are honest about what we haven’t finished. We have checked every page with automated accessibility tests and keyboard checks, but we have not yet completed screen reader testing on every device and browser combination. Wide tables, such as repayment schedules, scroll sideways inside their own labelled area on small screens. If you find something else, we want to know.

Report a problem
